Frequently Asked Questions Where do I park when coming for a service? »
All visitors to the service department are advised to park in the areas marked for service customers. These are located adjacent to the service departments at all sites. In the event that these spaces are all full, we would advise customers to use the general parking areas taking note of the vehicles location so the service advisors can notify our technicians as your paperwork goes through to our workshops. What time do I drop my vehicle off?
» Our service department is open for vehicle drop off from 07:30. However, we can accept vehicles throughout the day. It is advised that you discuss your preferred drop off time when making your booking. We also offer an out of hours drop off service through our secure letter box drop of points. These are located on the front of each service department. We would advise all keys etc are placed in an envelope and the vehicle details and customer contact details are clearly marked down. Is there a collection delivery service available? »
We offer a 'free of charge' collection and delivery service within a 15 mile radius of Allen Ford Coventry. Upon request we could arrange for extended collections for a minimal charge. Vehicles are generally collected between 08:30 and 10:30 and we aim to return them between 15:30 and 17:00. (Dependant on road conditions and traffic) Can I wait while my vehicle is being serviced? »
Customers are always welcome to wait for their vehicle to be serviced or repaired. It is advised that you discuss this option at the point of booking an appointment so our staff can advise you of the approximate amount of time you would be waiting. All of our customer waiting areas have refreshment facilities and reading material and are also located in or next to our vehicle showrooms. This gives you a great opportunity to browse round the latest product range available from Ford and our sales team will always be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Why does my car need a body condition report? »
The vehicle and body inspection is necessary to ensure that the paint and corrosion warranty that is provided with the vehicle at point of sale remains intact. In the event that a scheduled body and paint inspection is missed any subsequently identified paint defect or corrosion will not be claimable under warranty and any repair costs incurred will be the registered owners liability. When should I have my car serviced?
» Your vehicle should be serviced in line with manufacturers recommendations. On most Ford vehicles this is every 12 month's or 12,500 miles, (whichever occurs first). If you are unsure of the service interval on your vehicle please call our service team who will be happy to advise you. Is a main dealer more expensive?
